This is an experimental version of ZQuest Classic for the browser. You can expect occasional sound hiccups, and
other bugs.
But for the most part things should work well enough to play any quest that the Windows version can handle.
For more, see this blog post.
Find a quest from the Quest List and hit Play to quicky load it. If a save file already exists, it will load
instantly.
Otherwise, it will load after you input a save file name.
Best enjoyed with a gamepad!

Most settings (such as controls) are configured in the ZQuest Classic menu (click on game to open).
This panel is for web-specific settings.
Timidity config (MIDI)
There are multiple options for MIDI sound files. For this to take effect, you need to refresh after changing.
Some options are missing instruments. If in doubt, just use the first choice.
Note: this only impacts MIDI songs, not any other type of music.
Attach local filesystem folder
Assign a folder to keep save files and quests. Choose an empty
folder or a folder with existing files (make sure to backup anything important!)
Copy local filesystem files
Copy files to the local browser storage. These files will then be
available to ZQuest Classic. Any updates to these files by ZQuest Classic will exist
only in the browser–the originals will not be modified. In other words, this
is one-way.
Note: Browsers that support the File System Access API (ex: desktop Chrome, Edge) can attach
a folder permanently, and data will be synchronized. This browser does not support that API,
(or you opted to use local browser storage), so when you want these updated files back on your
filesystem, use the following section.
Download files stored in the browser
These files are stored in the browser. Click to download any of them.
